Shepherd School Chamber Music Festival: Part 3

Chamber Music Festival: Part 3
“The American Century (1917-2017)”
In 1917, the United States of America entered World War I thereby shifting U.S foreign policy away from isolationism and neutrality and into a period of international engagement. For one-hundred years the paradigm to spread freedom and democracy was a rallying point that brought with it unprecedented growth in political power, and economic dominance. With the spread of American influence also came the global recognition and acceptance of American music and culture.
